End of the Line : Trains Day 6
Sunday, January 25th, 2009

Doug Emmett walked off the set and we were forced to hire a new D.P. at the last minute. This guys name is Calix Lundstrom. You may have heard of him, he shot “2001 : A Space Odyssey”, “Kundun”, and “Days of Heaven” …

Andrew carried him around the set so he could make sure the lighting was up to snuff. He has a very discerning eye and implemented a mandatory crew nap-time, which was greatly appreciated by the crew and abhorred by production.

Calix also let us use his snorkel lens system, pictured above.

The videos screen in Barcelona on February 12th….
We will post them soon thereafter.

Today we begin to prepare in earnest for our forthcoming series of short films with model trains.

Director of photography Doug Emmett makes the complex measurements necessary for a precise shoot.

Production Designer John Furgason favors a living scarf.
More updates soon.

Getting Ready for Mexico

Next week we’re shooting some real estate commercials in Mexico. We leave in about 5 hours. An SUV will pick us up from the office at 3:30 am and by noon we will be sitting in our seaside mansion in Los Cabos.

Stay tuned…

Supermarché Art-Directs Top Secret Music Video
Monday, October 27th, 2008
Last week we art directed a top secret music video for our friends over at Greencard Pictures, produced by our #1 favorite producer Melody Roscher, directed by our British friend Jim Canty. We can’t give you any hints as to who the artist was except to say that he is so famous they have interns over at the record label trolling the internet to find out if anyone posts photos from the set of his music video before it is released.
Here’s a sweet little bedroom set we designed in the apartment of Jim Barber.
Here’s one of our top 2 favorite A.D.’s in NYC : John Mingalone.
By the end of the day our only responsibility was to keep track of 2 coffee cups. Good thing we had back-ups.

The videos are presented by American Express and are also airing on Plum TV - I know because I saw one on TV last weekend. We are proud and drinking champagne at the office.
We will also be putting up higher quality versions on our website soon.

The Mohawks Bike & Scooter Club/Gang
Monday, September 8th, 2008
We’re making a documentary for the JM Kaplan Fund with the NYC Parks Department about immigrants and parks in New York City. Today we were shooting interviews in Travers Park in Jackson Heights, Queens. Anyway, we had enough free time between shooting things to form this new gang that we’re very proud of, pictured below.

There are only 2 rules :
1. You must have a mohawk.
2. You must have wheels.
That’s it.
