Model Trains : Day One
January 22nd, 2009Yesterday we shot at Northlandz, the largest model train museum in the North America.

John and his art team dress the city set.

It was our first shoot using the RED camera, courtesy of Atomix.

This shot was inspired by something I grabbed with my Canon TX1 (which is the size of a deck of cards) on our first scout. Isn’t it amazing what it takes to recreate that? We’ll see whose version is better.

Every single one of the 100+ trains at Northlandz can be controlled from this room.

B-Unit out on Rogue Mission #3. This mission was highly secretive.

The brave director retrieves a stalled train. One misstep would have sent him plummeting thousands of feet to his death.

Today we’re shooting across the street at a studio, a.k.a. Studiomarché.
