HVX Diaries
Wednesday, December 17th, 2008
Sometimes we rent our cameras out. When we get them back they look the same but we always wonder what kind of experiences they’ve had out there, if those experiences have changed them at all, and what their lenses have seen without us.
Fortunately, this time we rented one of our Panasonic HVX-200’s to our friend Peter Raymond and Jeff Peixoto was there to record the experience. Ironically, he didn’t have a camera so I induced him to record his day in the following serio/comic-strip:
Gather what you will from this account; I think it’s quite touching. I hope to make this into a regular series, HVX Diaries, or Kino Diaries, or 16gb P2 Card Diaries, or what have you, depending on what we rent.

Time Travel with Spike Jonze
Monday, December 15th, 2008
On my way into Film Forum to see Wendy and Lucy, I saw Spike Jonze in the lobby. He was waiting on his girlfriend Michelle Williams, who had just given a Q & A after the 8:00 screening. I asked him what illuminating insights I had missed.
He considered ways to tell me without ruining the movie…like waiting around till I came out, or time travel.
We settled on what you see below, the most illuminating A from the Q & A written on a card and left for me atop the ATM in the lobby. Very smart.
The movie was eh.

Supermarché on Said the Gramophone
Thursday, December 11th, 2008
One of our favorite music bloggers, Dan Beirne, over at one of our favorite music blogs, Said the Gramophone, wrote a very kind note about some of our recent work.
Read the blog : here.
You may remember Dan also wrote about my collaboration with Die Romantik last year.
Also, if you haven’t heard of Said the Gramophone, it’s worth checking everyday.
